Intoducing... Rebecca

Hi, I’m Rebecca and I live in Kent.

I am a full-time Senior Lecturer at London South Bank University, specialising in Therapeutic Radiography. I lecture to undergraduate, post graduate and both pre-registered and post-registered Allied Health Professionals.  I have recently completed my MSc and am currently studying to complete my Post Graduate Certificate in Higher Education.

In my free time I enjoy sailing; I have recently done some RYA qualifications. I also like to travel. I have lived and worked in Australia for a year and backpacked around Asia (Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam) with a friend.

I am currently a Senior Section Leader with a company of over 15 Rangers, plus an assistant Guider with a Guide Group. I am also the County Senior Section Advisor. I enjoy helping out at Rainbows and Brownies whenever I am needed! I really enjoy being a member of the LASER walking group and have recently completed my Level 1 qualification. I receive hours and hours of pleasure from Girlguiding, ranging from the weekly meetings; to the pride I feel when my own girls are selected for international opportunities, to when the new Senior Section flag arrived for our new unit!

I am really excited about GOLD Guyana 2013 and the opportunities and friendships that it offers. No international experience I have had with Girlguiding (including visiting, Holland, Italy and Switzerland- as a guide and as a leader) has ever disappointed me and I am now thoroughly excited to have the opportunity to complete service abroad.
